• To accurately identify parts for OMC engines and stern drives, the model number must be obtained
• An identification plate on the valve cover of the engine will typically contain model number information
• Also helpful in identifying parts is knowledge of horsepower and year of manufacture
• On OMC Cobra drives, the identification plate is located on the port side of the sterndrive just above the cavitation plate
